About the role
Absolute Domestics is one of Australia’s most established and trusted home cleaning companies, servicing clients across Australia and New Zealand for more than 30 years.
We’re in growth mode and are looking for an experienced SEO & Content Specialist to join our in-house marketing team.
This is a permanent part-time role, 3–4 days per week, and we’re happy to consider school hours or other flexible working arrangements for the right person.
You’ll work alongside our marketing team, including our Fractional CMO and Paid Media Specialist, with a strong focus on growing organic search traffic, improving our website and expanding our visibility across both traditional and AI search.
What You’ll Be DoingConduct regular technical SEO audits covering crawl health, indexation, Core Web Vitals, schema and site speed
Identify and prioritise technical issues and provide clear, developer-ready recommendations
Monitor and maintain site health using Google Search Console, Screaming Frog and other SEO tools
Make or coordinate website improvements that improve Core Web Vitals and organic performance
Conduct keyword research aligned with customer search intent and our business growth objectives
Develop and maintain keyword mapping across our service and location pages
Identify opportunities across both high-intent and top-of-funnel search terms
Work with our Paid Media Specialist to identify opportunities across paid and organic search
Review Google Ads search-term data to uncover new SEO and content opportunities
Search is changing quickly, and we want someone interested in staying ahead of it.
You’ll help us:
Improve visibility across AI-powered search and answer engines
Optimise content for AI Overviews, featured snippets and People Also Ask
Improve structured data, FAQ schema and entity signals
Monitor our brand visibility across platforms such as Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity
Identify opportunities to improve the way our brand and content are surfaced and referenced by AI search tools
Experience with AI search optimisation is highly regarded, but we don't expect you to know everything. More important is that you're interested in learning and keeping up with how search is changing.
Content & On-Page SEOProvide SEO recommendations for service, location and blog content
Identify and prioritise new content opportunities
Review and optimise page titles, meta descriptions, headings and internal linking
Build and improve internal link structures
Work with the marketing team on content briefs and optimisation
Make on-page updates directly within WordPress
Prepare clear SEO performance reporting covering rankings, organic traffic, conversions and key improvements
Track performance against agreed KPIs
Maintain monitoring across Organic Search and AI Search
Provide SEO insights that can also support our Paid Search and Meta activity
Communicate what is working, what isn't, and what we should do next
Ideally, you'll have:
5+ years of hands-on SEO experience with demonstrated improvements in rankings, traffic and/or conversions
Strong technical SEO knowledge including crawlability, indexing, structured data and Core Web Vitals
Experience with Google Search Console and GA4
Experience using tools such as Ahrefs or Semrush and Screaming Frog
Working knowledge of Google Tag Manager
Strong understanding of on-page SEO, internal linking and content optimisation
Experience working with WordPress and the ability to make on-page changes yourself
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
The ability to work independently, prioritise opportunities and turn them into actionable tasks
An interest in AI-powered search, AEO and the changing search landscape
Experience with local SEO and multi-location businesses would be particularly valuable.
Google Ads experience is also useful, but Paid Media is not the core focus of this role. You'll be working alongside a dedicated Paid Media Specialist.
How We'll Measure SuccessKey measures will include:
Year-on-year organic growth
Improvement in priority keyword rankings
Increased visibility in featured snippets and AI-generated search results
Core Web Vitals maintained at Good or better
Consistent improvements to key service and location pages
Growth in organic enquiries and bookings
Regular identification of new SEO and content opportunities
Clear and timely reporting
Permanent Part-Time – 3–4 days per week
The full-time equivalent salary for this role is $90,000 + superannuation, pro-rated according to the agreed number of days worked.
We’re open to discussing flexible hours, including school-hour arrangements, with the right candidate.
This is a hands-on role. We’re looking for someone who enjoys actually doing SEO — investigating problems, making improvements, testing ideas and seeing the results.
ApplyingPlease note: This is a permanent, ongoing position. Applicants must have unrestricted, ongoing Australian working rights. Absolute Domestics is not offering visa sponsorship for this position.
Please include a short summary of your SEO experience.
If selected for interview, we'll ask you to talk us through 2–3 examples of websites or projects where your SEO work produced measurable results.
