About the role
Working alongside our Director and Senior Team, you'll play an important role in the day to day running of our service, helping lead and support a team of around 14 educators. This is more than just a supervision role. We're looking for someone who wants to take initiative, contribute ideas, build strong relationships and develop their leadership skills. For the right person, there is a clear pathway into a permanent leadership position.
Key responsibilities
Supporting the Director and Senior Team with the smooth operation of the service
Helping lead, support and mentor our team of educators
Creating a safe, welcoming and engaging environment for children
Building positive relationships with children, families, educators and the wider school community
Contributing to programming, planning, reflection and evaluation
Supporting administration, compliance and quality assurance processes
Helping with resources, shopping and maintaining an organised and well stocked service
Taking initiative and identifying ways we can continue to improve our service
Participating in professional development and training as you continue to grow your skills
About you
Experienced in childcare or OSHC, with 2+ years of experience highly regarded
Confident working with primary school aged children
Reliable, organised and able to take initiative
A strong communicator who can work well with both children and adults
Comfortable taking responsibility and supporting other educators
Passionate about providing high quality care and meaningful experiences for children
Keen to develop their leadership and professional skills
Able to contribute positively to a team environment
Current Working With Children Check (essential)
First Aid, CPR and Child Protection qualifications, relevant qualifications and a current driver's licence (highly regarded)
