Consultant Gynaecologist – Flexible Private Practice Opportunity

Broderick Medical is an established specialist women's health and fertility practice in Canberra seeking an additional Consultant Gynaecologist to join our growing specialist team.

This is a flexible private practice opportunity, initially focused on office-based gynaecology. We have a strong and established referral stream and can provide patients from commencement, allowing you to undertake private practice without needing to establish your own rooms, administration or referral base.

We are ideally looking for approximately 4–6 consulting days per month initially, with considerable flexibility around how these are structured. For an interstate specialist, consulting days can be grouped into convenient blocks of consecutive days.

Initially, the opportunity would primarily involve office-based gynaecology consulting. For a specialist interested in developing a broader practice in Canberra, there may also be scope to establish a surgical component over time.

• Women's Health GPs providing initial assessment, investigation and management where appropriate

• Accredited in-house diagnostic ultrasound

• Flexible consulting commitment and scheduling

• No requirement for obstetrics

• Potential to develop surgical practice over time if desired

This is an opportunity to establish or expand a private gynaecology practice in Canberra without the significant time, cost and administrative burden normally involved in building a private practice from the ground up.

We are open to hearing from both established specialists and recently fellowed FRANZCOGs.

The opportunity may particularly suit a specialist who:

• would like to add private consulting to an existing public or private role;

• is looking to establish or expand their private practice;

• would prefer to focus on gynaecology without an obstetric commitment; or

• is based interstate and interested in undertaking regular blocks of private consulting in Canberra.

Applicants should hold, or be eligible for, specialist registration in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Australia.

This is a private practice contractor opportunity, with remuneration based on an agreed percentage of professional billings.

The commercial arrangement will be negotiated with the successful specialist and can be structured around the individual's experience, consulting commitment and circumstances.

Broderick Medical provides the established referral stream, consulting rooms, administration and practice infrastructure.
