Product Specialist - Power

About the role

This is a critical product leadership role responsible for the ownership, accuracy, compliance and strategic direction of the power generation product portfolio. You'll become the internal authority on product application, configuration and capability, ensuring the products quoted, ordered and supplied are accurate, compliant and commercially sound. Working across sales, engineering, supply chain, service and supplier networks, you will play a key role in shaping product strategy, driving continuous improvement and building technical capability across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the internal subject matter expert for the power product range

• Maintain accurate product specifications, configurations, item data and technical information

• Ensure product information provided to customers and internal teams is current and accurate

• Assess suitability of products for customer applications and operational requirements

• Provide guidance on product configuration, capability and lifecycle management

• Identify and evaluate new product opportunities and emerging technologies

• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and industry developments

• Ensure products meet relevant Australian Standards and customer requirements

• Manage key product relationships with suppliers, manufacturers and technical representatives

• Deliver product training and technical support to sales, engineering and service teams

About you

• Significant experience within power generation, electrical, industrial equipment or related industries

• Demonstrated experience managing products through configuration, specification, product data and lifecycle ownership

• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand complex equipment and systems

• Sound commercial awareness, including understanding of cost structures, margins and risk

• Experience working with supplier systems, product portals and configuration tools

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proven ability to develop documentation, training materials and knowledge-sharing processes

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving
