About the role

Penrith Women's Health Centre (PWHC) is looking to recruit an experienced an endorsed Nurse Practitioner whose scope of practice includes primary care, mental health or women's health to work with us from our beautiful centre in the heart of Penrith. The Nurse Practitioner will provide services through an appointment-based fee for service system at Penrith Women's Health Centre or attend outreach and community activity events where appropriate. There is an expectation that as demand for services grows, increased hours may be available. shifts are Monday to Friday only. The successful applicant will initially work part time, up to 15 hours per week, with days and hours negotiable. There is an expectation that as demand for services grows increased hours may be available.

Renumeration negotiable for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Provide women's health and reproductive care through the lifespan, including pregnancy and abortion care.

• Provide primary care, mental health and women's health services.

  • Deliver preventative health screening for women supported by registered nurse and credentialed diabetes educator.

  • Support women experiencing chronic disease.

• Support improved mental health and wellbeing in women who have experienced trauma, domestic and family violence or social disadvantage.

• Support clients to improve health literacy and make informed healthcare choices.

• Work through an inclusive, client-centred, trauma-informed, culturally appropriate model of care.

PWHC has recently relocated to new premises in the heart of Penrith where clients can access a range of health and wellbeing services in a fresh, safe, inviting and empowering environment. The site has easy access to all-day parking, shopping and public transport. Our services focus on empowering and strengthening women's overall health and wellbeing. Our health practitioners practice is evidence based and focuses on improving our client's health literacy, whilst offering support to allow clients to make informed healthcare choices.
