Precision Automotive Equipment is a national leader in the supply, installation and servicing of world-class automotive workshop equipment. We support some of Australia’s most advanced workshops, helping keep their operations running safely and efficiently.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Service Coordinator to join our national service team.

Job Description

This role is ideal for an experienced Service Coordinator with strong project coordination capabilities. You will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating equipment installations, while also managing service repairs and breakdown work across our customer network.

Acting as the key link between customers, field technicians, contractors and internal stakeholders, you will play a critical role in delivering a seamless customer experience through proactive communication, effective planning and responsive problem-solving.

This is a fast-paced position that requires strong organisational skills, the ability to manage changing priorities, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule technicians and contractors for equipment installations.
• Ensure plant is available for installations where required suck as forklifts.
• Coordinate and schedule technicians for service repairs and breakdowns.
• Optimise technician utilisation and productivity through effective short and long-term planning.
• Prioritise work based on urgency, customer commitments and operational requirements.
• Adjust schedules in real time to manage breakdowns, delays, leave requirements and changing priorities.
• Monitor workflow, upcoming projects and future demand to support proactive resource planning.
• Coordinate job requirements, including site readiness, access arrangements and contractor engagement.
• Act as the central coordination point to minimise downtime and disruption for customers.
• Serve as the primary contact for customers regarding scheduling, updates and job progress.
• Communicate appointment times, service updates and schedule changes in a timely and professional manner.
• Promote safe work practices through effective planning and coordination.
• Consider travel requirements, fatigue management and site conditions when scheduling work activities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a service coordination, scheduling or operations role.
• Experience coordinating field-based technical or trade teams.
• Strong planning and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and make effective decisions under pressure.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering excellent service.
• A calm, confident and solutions-oriented approach.
• Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to gain trust with customers, technicians and contractors.
• Proficiency in scheduling and service management systems.
