Civil Engineering Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning and coordination of residential and commercial construction projects.

• Prepare and update technical sketches, drawings and construction documentation.

• Undertake site measurements and assist with quantity take-offs and material calculations.

• Collect, record and analyse site data to support project planning and delivery.

• Assist with estimating quantities and costs of construction materials and labour.

• Review engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.

• Assist with field inspections and basic testing of construction materials.

• Conduct site inspections and monitor construction progress.

• Prepare technical reports, project documentation and site records.

• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and project stakeholders.

• Assist with project scheduling and construction activities.

• Monitor quality standards and ensure compliance with project specifications.

• Assist in identifying and resolving technical issues during project delivery.

• Support workplace health and safety requirements across construction sites.

• Verify completed works against engineering drawings, specifications and project requirements.

• Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
