The Role
Working within the Supply Chain Team and leading a team of procurement specialists, you will be responsible for the cost effective and efficient procurement of high-quality aviation parts, materials, consumables, equipment, and services to support this growing global business.
Responsibilities
Lead, train and develop a team of procurement specialists.
Sourcing and Procurement: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers both locally and internationally to procure goods, materials, and services.
Order Management and Monitoring: Action parts requisition online ordering system, track and report on the status of purchase orders and deliveries to relevant departments.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with CASA/FAA regulations and McDermott Aviation’s internal policies.
Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong working relationships, continually evaluating and negotiating on Quality, Price and Availability to ensure best outcome.
Market Research: Stay informed on market trends, price fluctuations, and emerging suppliers to optimise purchasing decisions.
Reporting: Prepare, action and present regular reports on purchasing activities, Open Purchase Orders, analyse costs, and performance metrics to management.
About You
You have experience in a procurement role, preferably within the Aviation Industry or a Manufacturing Environment.
Exceptional attention to detail, time management skills and a commercially focused mindset.
Excellent communication, influencing and relationship skills.
Strong Administration, Problem Solving and Microsoft Office skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast paced and growing environment.
Diploma in Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
