This FIFO role from Perth if offered on 8 days on, 6 days off roster.
Your role:
Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality geology services while working closely with the Mining Team to maximise operational efficiency and ore recovery. This includes:
Assist with diamond core logging of underground grade control and exploration programs; Support the Mining Team in maximising ore recovery and minimising dilution; Collect and analyse underground grade control data (face mapping, face sampling, core logging) in preparation for block modelling; Assist with underground diamond drill rig management; Utilise site systems and QA/QC protocols to ensure the quality and integrity of data; and, Contribute to the delineation, extension and discovery of Reserves.
What You Bring:
You’ll bring your proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and a collaborative approach and bring the following skills and experience:
Bachelor of Science majoring in Geology: Previous mining industry experience – preferably gold – with exposure to mine geology, grade control practices and reserve/stope definition drilling: Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and mining software such as Datamine and Leapfrog or similar: and, Possess a current manual Driver’s Licence
