What You Will Do

As budget and finance analyst, you will provide financial analysis and advice that supports important government decisions.

You will work with a skilled team to improve budget planning, policy advice and financial management across the department.

You Will

support budget planning and provide clear financial advicecomplete complex financial analysis for budget bids, cabinet submissions and policy proposalsprepare high-quality briefs that help leaders make timely decisionsidentify practical improvements and help solve financial and policy issuessupport continuous improvement projects across finance and the department.

About You

A qualification in policy, strategy or finance is desirable. You should have experience in public sector policy and financial management.

You Should Also Have

strong analytical and research skills to solve complex problemssound knowledge of financial and budget managementthe ability to work well with others and adapt to changing prioritiesa clear focus on inclusion, improvement and better outcomes.
