About the role
We are seeking an experienced clinician with advanced palliative care expertise, highly developed clinical judgement, and a strong capability in managing complexity within a dynamic care environment.

To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years’ experience working in the clinical area of the employees specified post-graduate qualification, or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
Describe a time where you were required to assess and prioritise a patient’s needs without face-to-face contact. How did you identify and escalate clinical risk, apply your specialist knowledge, and ensure safe, timely, and appropriate care?
Provide an example of how you have supported a patient or carer experiencing distress, uncertainty, or complex palliative care needs. How did you tailor your communication, and what strategies did you use to achieve a compassionate, person-centred experience?
Describe your experience navigating patients across health and/or community care systems. How have you applied your clinical judgement and influenced decision-making to coordinate care, connect patients to appropriate services, and reduce fragmentation or delays?
Tell us about a time you worked collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team during a period of change or service development. How did you demonstrate clinical leadership, support and influence other clinicians, adapt your practice, and contribute to improving the model of care or service delivery? What impact did this have?
Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
