Library Assistant (casual) - V26/10105

Blue Mountains Library is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to work as a casual Library Assistant.

The position will assist in the provision of a courteous, efficient and effective library service in a branch library, providing library circulation services, respond to enquiries from clients, shelving and collection maintenance. Blue Mountains Library has 6 library branches.

The successful candidate will have:

•    the ability to deliver efficient and enthusiastic customer service in response to changing needs; 
•    ability to assist clients in the use of technology and provide basic trouble-shooting assistance where required;
•    ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure and with attention to detail;
•    good written and verbal communication skills; 
•    team experience;
•    ability to work with initiative and flexibility;   
•    knowledge of and commitment to WHS systems and EEO principles; and 
•    study to HSC or equivalent.
