About the role
We are seeking an exceptional TAS educator and emerging leader to join our TAS Faculty as Assistant Head of Technology and Applied Studies, commencing Term 1, 2027.
This important middle leadership role supports the Head of TAS in leading curriculum development, teaching and learning, staff development and student achievement across Years 7-12. The successful applicant will contribute to faculty improvement initiatives, support the professional growth of colleagues and help drive excellence in student outcomes through high-quality teaching and evidence-informed practice.
This opportunity is ideally suited to an experienced TAS teacher looking to further develop their leadership capabilities while contributing to a collaborative and high-performing faculty.
This is a Permanent Full-Time teaching position with a three-year (1-point) promotional appointment as Assistant Head of TAS (2027–2029).
The Assistant Head of TAS supports the Head of TAS in the effective leadership of the Faculty and assists in ensuring high-quality teaching, learning and curriculum outcomes for students.
Working collaboratively with faculty staff and College leaders, the successful applicant will contribute to curriculum development and implementation, support faculty initiatives, assist in analysing student achievement data and foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
The successful applicant will be an excellent classroom practitioner with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to achieving exceptional outcomes for both students and staff.
