About the Role

Costa House in Lara is more than an aged care home—it’s a place where you can grow your career while making a real difference. As Food Services Assistant, you'll work alongside our Chef or Cook to prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents while maintaining high food safety standards and ensuring the kitchen and dining areas remain clean, organised and welcoming.

This is a casual position, and the successful candidate must be flexible and available to cover leave and vacant shifts. You will need to be available to work a mix of morning, afternoon and weekend shifts.

No two days are the same! As Food Service Assistant you will:

• Support menu planning to reflect residents’ needs, preferences, and dietary requirements.
• Prepare, serve, and present meals and refreshments in line with the Food Safety Program.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, including general cleaning and safe food handling practices.
• Monitor and record food safety requirements, including temperatures and goods received.
• Deliver meals with a friendly, respectful approach and report any food or beverage concerns to the Registered Nurse in Charge.

About You

You’ll thrive with us if you have:

• Completion of a Food Handling Course
• Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Previous experience in residential aged care feed services.
