Help shape the next stage of V-DAQ’s growth journey

V-DAQ is a growing Australian technology company operating in the fleet management and telematics sector.

Our sales function has been founder-led to date. As we continue to invest in growth, expand our customer base, increase revenue from existing customers, and strengthen our go-to-market capability, we are looking for a Head of Sales & Account Management to take increasing ownership of the commercial function.

We are seeking an established commercial leader who has successfully built, led, and scaled high-performing revenue teams. You will be comfortable taking ownership of growth outcomes across both new business acquisition and existing customer expansion.

You may come from a sales leadership, account management, customer growth, or broader revenue leadership background. Relevant titles may include Head of Sales, Head of Account Management, Head of Growth, VP Sales, VP Revenue, Chief Revenue Officer, or similar.

• V-DAQ has Australian-based software engineering, embedded and hardware engineering, and hardware manufacturing capabilities.
• We have not taken private equity or venture capital funding. Our growth has been supported by paying customers, sustainable commercial performance, and a significant pipeline of opportunities.

The role

You will be responsible for:

• Owning and evolving the commercial strategy and revenue engine across new business acquisition, account management, customer growth, expansion, cross-sell, and upsell.
• Aligning marketing activity with the company’s strategic growth priorities.
• Leading, developing, and expanding the sales and account management capability across the business.
• Spending meaningful time with customers and prospects to understand their needs, operational workflows, buying drivers, objections, expansion opportunities, and commercial requirements.
• Being hands-on in customer conversations, pipeline development, deal progression, product positioning, negotiations, and closing opportunities.
• Taking ownership of revenue growth across both new customer acquisition and existing customer expansion.
• Building scalable sales processes, reporting, forecasting, performance management, and team enablement as the function matures.
• Coaching and developing existing team members and recruiting additional sales and account management talent.
• Working closely with product and engineering teams to ensure customer and market insights inform commercial and product priorities.

What we are looking for

You will bring:

• Proven experience as a senior sales or revenue leader, with a strong track record of delivering sustainable revenue growth.
• Demonstrated experience recruiting, building, coaching, and adapting high-performing sales or account management teams.
• Experience selling either SaaS or IoT, telematics, connected hardware, or similar technology solutions.
• Strong commercial capability across both new customer acquisition and existing customer growth.
• The ability to operate strategically while remaining actively involved in customers, pipeline development, deal progression, and closing.
• Experience building effective sales processes, reporting, forecasting, performance management, and revenue disciplines.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with founders, senior leaders, technical teams, customers, and commercial partners.
• The leadership capability and ambition to grow into a broader executive position as V-DAQ continues to scale.
• An ability to understand and work effectively with AI-enabled systems, agentic workflows, and teams comprising both human and digital workers.

Experience leading both customer acquisition and customer growth functions will be highly regarded.
