Australian Clinical Labs is seeking enthusiastic Medical Laboratory Scientists / Scientific Officers to join our laboratory team in Moorabbin.
We are interested in hearing from scientists across a range of experience levels, from early career professionals through to experienced laboratory scientists looking for their next opportunity. We welcome applications from candidates seeking either full-time or part-time arrangements.
Working within a busy, high-performing laboratory, you will contribute to the delivery of quality pathology services through the performance of routine and specialized testing, operation of laboratory instrumentation, result validation, quality processes, and continuous improvement activities.
The successful applicants will be adaptable, quality-focused team players who enjoy working in a dynamic laboratory environment and are committed to delivering excellent patient outcomes
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine and specialized pathology testing in accordance with laboratory procedures and accreditation requirements.
Analyse, interpret, validate and report laboratory results within approved scope of practice.
Operate, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
Participate in quality assurance, quality control and continuous improvement programs.
Contribute to maintaining a safe, compliant and efficient laboratory environment.
Collaborate effectively with laboratory, medical and administrative staff.
Participate in rostered laboratory services as required.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
A Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science, Bachelor of Science, or AIMS recognised equivalent qualification.
Demonstrated laboratory experience within pathology services (graduates are encouraged to apply).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to quality, safety and customer service.
Availability to participate in rotating rosters, including weekends and public holidays as required.
