Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in a 24/7 Supported Independent Living home. Experience working with participants who have Behaviours of Concern and/or a history of drug and alcohol misuse is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will be patient, adaptable, and committed to delivering safe, respectful, and person-centred support while promoting independence, wellbeing, and positive outcomes in a structured environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily routines and promote independence and confidence
• Building trusting relationships through active listening and empathy
• Maintain accurate and confidential participant records
• Helping with domestic duties like cooking, cleaning, and shopping
• Communicate effectively with participants, their families, and the care team
• Respond to participant's unique needs and challenges with empathy and patience

Qualifications:

• Cert III/IV in Disability or equivalent.
• NDIS Screening Check
• NDIS Induction Module
• NDIS Orientation Module
• Previous experience in a support worker role or a related field is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on others' lives.
• Ability to adapt to various participant needs and preferences.
• First Aid and CPR
