Join our Nutrition and Dietetics team and gain valuable hands-on clinical experience while you complete your university studies. Based across Logan Hospital and Eight Mile Plains Satellite Hospital, you'll work alongside experienced Dietitians to support patient care, develop your clinical skills, and gain real-world experience in a supportive and collaborative healthcare environment—all while enjoying the flexibility of casual employment that fits around your studies.

Your new role:

As a Health Practitioner (Nutrition and Dietetics) Trainee, you'll work alongside experienced Dietitians across Logan Hospital and Eight Mile Plains Satellite Hospital to support the delivery of high-quality patient care. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your university learning in a real clinical setting, build your professional confidence, and gain valuable experience within Metro South Health. In this role, you will:

• Support Dietitians in delivering safe, patient-centred nutrition care
• Assist with clinical assessment and treatment activities under supervision.
• Complete administrative tasks that support the Nutrition and Dietetics service
• Build practical skills and confidence in a supportive learning environment
• Work casual shifts (up to 20 hours per fortnight), with opportunities for weekend and public holiday shifts when required

About you:

We're looking for enthusiastic Nutrition and Dietetics students who are passionate about improving patient outcomes and eager to gain practical healthcare experience. You'll bring:

• Current enrolment in an accredited Australian Nutrition and Dietetics degree (Undergraduate or Graduate Entry Master's)
• A genuine passion for patient-centred healthcare
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A willingness to learn and apply feedback from experienced clinicians

To be eligible for this role, you must:

• Be currently enrolled in an accredited Australian Nutrition and Dietetics degree that leads to eligibility for registration as a Health Practitioner in Queensland
• Provide proof of current university enrolment
• Hold a current C Class driver's licence before commencing employment

The Process:
