About the opportunity

The Tech Bar Support Analyst role is the first point of in-person contact for IT support, focused on providing timely and effective resolution to technical issues. This position is fundamental to maintaining employee productivity and satisfaction by delivering a high-quality, hands-on support service and ensuring the reliability of our end-user technology and facilities.

Working collaboratively within the Asset and Facilities Management team in the Technology Division, you will use your passion for technology and customer service to translate technical jargon into simple, understandable terms. This role is crucial for resolving technical issues for a diverse user base and ensuring our technology runs smoothly.

This role is part-time. 20 hours per week (Mon to Fri, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM)

In this role you’ll get to…

• Provide hands-on, in-person technical support and troubleshooting for all hardware (desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals) and software issues.
• Manage the entire lifecycle of IT incidents and service requests from logging to resolution and proactively identify root causes of recurring issues.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for IT issues, performing effective incident escalation to second-level teams.
• Provide on-site support and routine maintenance for all Audio-Visual (AV) and Video Conferencing (VC) equipment in meeting rooms.
• Install, configure, and maintain end-user hardware and software, while managing user accounts and permissions.
• Participate in and support technology change initiatives, including hardware refreshes and software deployments. 

What you’ll bring to the role 

To be successful in the role you will have: … 

• Experience in a deskside or field support role, preferably within a corporate or financial services environment.
• A strong passion for technology and exceptional customer service skills.
• Excellent problem-solving aptitude and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Windows, macOS, and mobile platforms (iOS/Android).
• Expertise in supporting the Microsoft 365 suite (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).
• A solid understanding of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, VPN). A Diploma/degree in IT or certifications like CompTIA A+ are highly desirable.
