ARA Mechanical is a leader in HVAC and mechanical services and has more than 20 years’ experience in design, installation and maintenance, as well as building management systems (BMS). We work for major clients and industries across the Australian eastern seaboard in four main capability areas: We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer Technician to join our friendly, supportive team.
Location: 1/192 Kingsgrove Rd, Kingsgrove NSW 2208 Full time: 38 hours per week Salary: $136,000.00 per annum plus superannuation
Key Responsibilities will include: Assisting Mechanical Engineers and Engineering Technologists with designing mechanical equipment and plant. Preparing drawings, plans and designs for mechanical engineering projects under the direction of Mechanical Engineers and Engineering Technologists.
Estimating the required materials, quantities, costs and machinery needs. Choosing appropriate tools and equipment for mechanical engineering work. Assembling and installing new or modified mechanical components, assemblies, machine tools, control systems and hydraulic power systems.
Conducting and supervising laboratory and field tests. Collecting and examining data, performing complex calculations and creating technical diagrams. Coordinating and supervising the inspection and maintenance of machinery and plant.
Confirming that designs and completed work meet specifications, regulations and contractual requirements. Required skills and attributes: Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices
Ability to read, interpret, and prepare technical drawings, plans and schematics High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality Excellent communication and teamwork skills
