About Us:
At Opal Water Management, we are accredited by Sydney Water as a Water Servicing Coordinator, incorporating Building Plan Approvals, Service Protection Reports, Section 73, Design & Project Management. As a trusted agent for over 2 decades, we have transitioned with Sydney Water as they phased out the Quickcheck system & replaced this with “Tap-In”, which ensures we continue to provide premium end to end services for our building & developing clients.
About the Role:
Opal Water Management are currently seeking the services of persons with Sydney Water Plumbing & Infrastructure experience to join their expanding organisation. This role includes attending multiple sites across Greater Sydney, Central Coast, Hunter and Wollongong regions to complete in inspections of Sydney Water and local council assets, complete detailed markups and collate information for the purposes of design and approvals for our clients.
Responsibilities:
o Good understanding & knowledge of Sydney Water sewer & water standards (accreditation advantageous) including but not limited to design, project management, sewer/water construction, building over/near assets
o Inspection of varying works (including QSE aspects) to ensure Sydney Water and local council compliance in Minor Works, Concrete Encasements, Pre connection, Water Services etc
o Involvement with our Design team, Service Protection Report & Infrastructure project management process
o Communication with clients and neighbouring residents to seek access and complete inspection works
o Ability to operate mechanical-assisted lifting equipment
o Ability to operate electronic location equipment
o Ability to read and understand Hydra and DBYD and building plans
o Ability to operate an android tablet to record inspection information
o Ability to work team environment and at times, independently.
o Experienced in operating CCTV for wastewater and stormwater
Candidate Requirements:
o Must have a current Driver’s license
o Demonstrate your ability to read and understand Hydra and DBYD and building plans
o Demonstrate your ability to locate services using electronic location equipment
o Demonstrate your ability to operate an android tablet
o Provide a Police check
o Provide a driving record
o Must be willing to learn and adapt to current company systems
o Must be Reliable, Attentive, Adaptable, Punctual, Committed, Customer Orientated and prepared to contribute in a positive nature.
o Must have good written & verbal communication
o Must be well presented.
o Plumbing or Civil background is desirable.
