Social Media & Content Lead

At Nebula Elec, we build critical high-voltage infrastructure across NSW data centres, switchyards, tunnels, and major infrastructure projects. We're growing fast, and we want someone who can capture and showcase our story, culture and brand we've built.

We're looking for a Social Media & Content Lead to work directly with the Director and take content from idea through to filming, editing and publishing across socials. This is a part-time role (roughly 2–3 days a week), and it could suit a freelancer looking to grow their own client base alongside steady, meaningful work - or someone who wants a foot in the door of a fast-growing business with a pathway to more.

You'll be in the office, in the workshop, and out on live project sites - capturing the people, the equipment, the work, and the behind-the-scenes decisions that go into building one of Australia's specialist electrical businesses.

Responsibilities.

• Develop content pillars and monthly content plans for both the Nebula brand and the founder's personal brand.

• Plan, direct and shoot in office, workshop and on-site environments using professional Sony mirrorless cameras, lenses, lighting and audio.

• Edit and finish short-form vertical content for TikTok, Instagram Reels and LinkedIn, plus longer-form founder and project stories.

• Write captions and hooks in the right voice, and adapt content to each platform rather than just reposting the same thing everywhere.

• Pull together a simple monthly performance report and use it to sharpen the next month's content.

• Keep an organised content calendar, footage library and backup workflow.

• Comply with site induction, PPE and safety requirements whenever filming on an active construction or electrical site.

Who we're looking for.

You've got a portfolio that shows real filming, editing and visual taste. You're confident behind the camera (exposure, composition, frame rates, lighting) and comfortable editing or raw footage. You know how to edit short-form content that holds attention and you understand the audiences across various social media sites.

You can develop a concept and direct someone in front of the camera, and you're organised with files and reliable with deadlines and you're happy to travel around Sydney if required.

Experience with Sony camera systems, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or After Effects is a bonus, as is any photography, motion graphics or thumbnail/design skill. If you've worked on founder-led, B2B, construction, engineering or trade content before, or you've run a recurring content series we'd love to hear about it. A White Card and driver's licence are useful but not essential, we can help with that.

Remuneration.

$42 – $63 per hour + Superannuation

The Access: You'll be filming on projects like data centres, high-voltage works, and large scale infrastructure.

The Gear: Sony cameras, proper lenses, lighting and audio - kit that matches the work you're producing.

The Say: You'll work directly with the Director with real input into the brand from day one, not completing someone else's brief.

Flexibility: Built around 2–3 days a week, so if you're freelancing or growing your own thing on the side, this can sit alongside it.
