About the role 

The Sports Dietitian will provide world class technical expertise and nutrition service delivery to allocated sports, coaches, and athletes as a part of an integrated, performance-centred multi-disciplinary team. The role will embed nutrition services within training and performance environments, providing proactive and tailored nutrition strategies to support individual athlete and sport development.

A key focus of the role will be supporting the delivery of Rowing Australia’s Women’s National Training Centre (WNTC) high-performance program in Penrith, including the development and implementation of individualised, periodised nutrition strategies to support WNTC athlete health and performance.

The role will also involve supporting rowing athletes within the NSWIS pathway program at NSWIS HQ in Sydney Olympic Park and High-Performance Clubs across Sydney, with a focus on aligning nutrition service delivery across the NSWIS and WNTC programs.

This is a full-time position, attracting a salary range of $115,194 - $120,511 pa plus superannuation.  The contract period for this role is up to 31 December 2028 in line with the Olympic cycle. 

This is an identified position requiring a Working with Children Check.

About you

You will bring to our team:

• Demonstrated extensive experience in working in a performance team environment encompassing project and research work.
• Extensive experience across different sports and/or levels of the high-performance athlete pathway.
• Proven success in utilising nutrition knowledge for planning, periodising and managing athletes across seasons/campaigns at national or international levels.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years experience in the provision and application of sports nutrition services to high performance athletes.
• Undergraduate degree (minimum) in Nutrition/Dietetics from a Dietitians Australia accredited course
• Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) status with Dietitians Australia
• Accredited Sports Dietitian status with Sports Dietitian Australia (AccSD)
• ISAK Anthropometry Level 1
• Sport Integrity Australia (SIA) Anti-doping Fundamentals & Annual Update 2026
• Valid Driver’s License
• Working with Children Check or be willing to obtain this prior to working with us.
• Current First Aid & CPR Certification
