Electrical Estimating Assistant

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Electrical Estimating Assistant to join our growing team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your career in electrical estimating while working alongside experienced estimators on a variety of commercial and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain tender documentation.

• Liaise with suppliers, wholesalers, and subcontractors to obtain pricing and quotations.

• Assist with quantity take-offs, including:

  • Light fittings

  • Lighting control systems

  • Underground pits and conduits/pipes

  • Switchboards

  • Electrical equipment

  • Cable containment systems

  • Mains and submains cabling

• Update and maintain supplier and subcontractor databases.

• Coordinate and document weekly estimating meetings.

• Provide administrative and technical support to the estimating team.

• Support estimators with day-to-day tendering and project costing activities.

Skills & Experience:

• Experience or interest in electrical estimating, construction, or building services.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

• Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.

• Effective communication skills and the ability to build relationship with suppliers and subcontractors.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.

• Engineering background with Revit and Autocad
