Are you an experienced operations leader with a passion for customer service, facility management and team leadership?

Eaton Recreation Centre is seeking a proactive and organised Facility Operations Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day delivery of our front-of-house and facility operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the South West's leading recreation facilities and play a key role in delivering exceptional experiences for our members, visitors and community.

As Facility Operations Team Leader, you'll lead a diverse customer-facing team and ensure our facility remains safe, welcoming, efficient and operationally excellent every day.

About the Role

Reporting to the leadership team, you will:

• Lead the daily operations of reception, café, centre supervision, cleaning and facility services.

• Coordinate building and equipment maintenance and manage contractors and service providers.

• Lead, support and roster a diverse operational team.

• Oversee café operations, stock control and service standards.

• Manage purchasing, invoicing, reporting and operational administration.

• Promote a strong safety culture through inspections, hazard management and emergency preparedness.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer experience and operational performance.

• Contribute to an inclusive, community-focused environment that supports healthy and active lifestyles.

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• Experience in facility operations, venue management, recreation services or a similar operational leadership role.

• Proven ability to lead and coordinate diverse teams in a customer-focused environment.

• Experience with rostering, workforce planning, performance management and staff development.

• Knowledge of building maintenance coordination and contractor management.

• Strong administration skills, including reporting, records management, purchasing and invoice processing.

• A track record of identifying and implementing process improvements.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Sound problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

• Knowledge of Work Health and Safety legislation and risk management principles.
