These include Queensland’s energy sector, health and hospital services, custodial environments, building automation and a Queensland based rail provider.
A number of these settings are highly secured and critical care environments requiring not only reliability, fast response and uncompromising solution quality, but also highly-trusted employees.
Who AEMS is looking for
Due to our continued growth, we are currently in search of tradespersons (as well as apprentices) who have a genuine interest in the electronic security industry and have experience installing cable and cable support, to join our team.
Tradespersons who hold any of the following qualifications are encouraged to apply; Cert III in – Electrotechnology, Telecommunications or Security Installation. Whilst the ability to install and service electronic security equipment is an essential requirement for this position, training will be provided.
The position
Security Technicians are required to:
Install and maintain CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion hardware, Cabling and Cable support.
Assist in testing of installed equipment and provide basic programming, such as, adding card readers, cameras and alarm points to any system.
Liaise with stakeholders on technical and service matters.
Utilise Simpro job management system and complete appropriate documentation.
Have the flexibility to travel within our service areas, which at times may include regional and interstate travel.
Participate in rotational after hours call outs (callout rates apply)
Have a strong commitment to adhere to Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental procedures.
Maintain criminal history clearances and relevant licences e.g. Class 2 Security provider licence.

Skilled and Qualifications required:
Hold a relevant Private Security Individual Registration, Cabling Licence, High Risk Work Licence, Construction Safety Induction Card and valid Australian Driver’s Licence.
An Electrical License may also be advantageous.
Experience in CCTV, Access Control, Alarm & Intrusion, installation & programming for such systems as Inner Range, Gallagher, Protégé, Bosch, Axis, Genetec and Milestone is highly regarded.
Currently hold or have the ability to obtain security clearances.
