The retail store serves as a hub for customers seeking hands-on product guidance and support.Role Description This part-time, on-site Retail/Admin Assistant role is based at Bintel’s store in Glebe, NSW. The role involves greeting and assisting customers, answering product questions, and providing support throughout the sales process. Day-to-day tasks include handling phone and email inquiries, processing orders and payments, maintaining accurate records, and supporting general clerical and administrative duties. The Retail/Admin Assistant helps keep the store organized, assists with stock handling and display, and supports the team with basic office tasks such as data entry and filing. The role requires a customer-focused approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a small, collaborative team environment.QualificationsStrong administrative skills.Effective phone handling abilities, including professional Phone Etiquette.Clear and confident Communication skills with customers and team members.Solid Clerical Skills, such as filing, data entry, and record keeping.Customer service experience in retail or a similar environment.Comfort using point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications (email, spreadsheets, word processing).Ability to stay organized, follow procedures, and manage multiple tasks reliably.Interest in binoculars, telescopes, birding or astronomy is an advantage but not required.
