About the role
Ozford Institute of Higher Education (OIHE) is seeking a motivated, energetic and resourceful Student Recruitment Officer to help grow our student community. Reporting to the Head of Department, you will drive direct student recruitment, manage prospective student enquiries, convert qualified leads into enrolments, develop productive relationships with education agents and partners, and contribute to recruitment targets. You will work closely with the Admissions, Student Services and Academic teams to help provide prospective students with a professional and supportive experience - from their initial enquiry through to application and enrolment.
Key responsibilities
Recruit students from markets assigned by the Head of Department
Undertake direct recruitment activities to generate and nurture prospective student leads
Proactively follow up prospective students and qualified leads, converting enquiries into applications and enrolments
Manage prospective student enquiries received by email, telephone, online chat, social media and other channels
Provide students, parents and guardians with accurate and professional information about courses, entry requirements and the application process
Conduct online or in-person meetings with prospective students and parents when required
Build and maintain productive, long-term relationships with education agents, representatives and recruitment partners
Support digital marketing, social media and promotional activities
Represent Ozford at education fairs, information sessions and other promotional events in Australia and overseas, as required
Ensure recruitment, marketing and student advisory activities comply with Ozford policies, procedures and applicable Australian education and regulatory requirements
About you
A bachelor's degree or higher qualification
At least three years' experience in student recruitment, education marketing, sales or a comparable role
Experience working with students or in student recruitment
A demonstrated record of meeting recruitment, sales or business development targets
Strong enquiry management, relationship building and sales conversion skills
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational abilities
Confidence using CRM or student management systems, digital platforms, social media and contemporary office software
A proactive, resourceful and results focused approach
A strong commitment to ethical recruitment, professional service and regulatory compliance
Desirable attributes
· Fluency in Spanish, Vietnamese, Nepali, Filipino (Tagalog) or Mandarin will be highly regarded
· Experience in Australian higher education or pathway program recruitment
· Willingness and ability to travel within Australia and overseas for recruitment activities, as required
· Knowledge of education agent management and student application processes
· Skills in social media content creation, photography, videography or digital advertising
