Clerical - Medical Receptionist

We are currently seeking a Part-Time Medical Receptionist (2 days per week) to join our friendly team at Blackburn. This role may also provide support to nearby clinics when required, offering variety and the opportunity to work across our network.

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the clinic.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and provide outstanding customer service.
• Manage appointments and medical imaging bookings.
• Handle patient registrations, billing, and Medicare claims.
• Complete work summaries and assist with medical typing.
• Maintain accurate patient records and data entry.
• Answer and manage incoming telephone enquiries.
• Process payments and banking related to Medicare, DVA, WorkCover, and private health funds.
• Liaise professionally with patients, referrers, doctors, and healthcare professionals.
• Provide support across other clinic locations when required.

About You

• Previous reception or administration experience.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask.
• Excellent attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
• A positive, team-focused attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of patient care.
• Previous radiology or medical imaging experience is advantageous but not essential.
