HR Tuck Driver

About the role

Force Transport is seeking a HR Tuck Driver to join our team in South Johnstone, QLD 4859. This is a casual position that offers flexibility whilst supporting our transport operations. As an HR Tuck Driver, you will be responsible for operating heavy rigid tipper trucks to transport sugar mill by-products safely and efficiently across the local region, whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism and customer service. This role is crucial to our logistics operations and directly contributes to Force Transport's reputation for reliable delivery services.

Key responsibilities

• Operating tipper trucks safely and in compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies

• Transporting goods to designated locations in a timely and professional manner

• Conducting pre-start vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and roadworthiness

• Maintaining accurate logbooks and trip documentation as required by law and company procedures

• Loading and unloading cargo, or supervising loading operations to ensure goods are secured appropriately

• Communicating effectively with supervisor and other team members to ensure smooth operations

• Maintaining a clean and well-maintained vehicle throughout shifts

• Reporting any vehicle defects, safety concerns or incidents promptly to management

What we're looking for

• Current and valid Heavy Rigid (HR) truck driver's licence issued in Australia

• Proven experience operating tipper trucks in commercial transport operations

• Knowledge of road safety legislation

• Ability to maintain accurate logbooks and documentation

• Professional communication and customer service skills

• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks associated with loading and unloading

• Reliability and flexibility to work casual hours as required

• A commitment to maintaining a clean driving record and zero-incident safety culture
