Role Summary: We are seeking a motivated Equine Reproduction Veterinarian to join our reproduction services. You will manage breeding programs, perform reproductive diagnostics and procedures, advise on fertility and mare/stallion management, and contribute to on‑farm services. This role suits a confident clinician who enjoys hands‑on work, and client education.

Key Responsibilities

·       Provide comprehensive equine reproduction services including fertility assessments, artificial insemination, embryo transfer, semen collection and evaluation, and post-natal foal care.

·       Develop and implement breeding plans and fertility management strategies for mares and stallions.

·       Perform routine and emergency reproductive procedures on‑farm and in‑clinic.

·       Interpret diagnostic tests and maintain accurate medical records.

·       Supervise and mentor veterinary nurses.

·       Contribute to on‑call rotation for reproductive emergencies.

·       Participate in continuous improvement, quality assurance, and practice development initiatives.

Essential Criteria

·       Veterinary degree recognised in Australia and current registration with the relevant state veterinary board.

·       Demonstrated experience in equine reproduction.

·       Proficiency in transrectal and transabdominal ultrasound for reproductive assessment.

·       Experience with artificial insemination techniques and semen handling.

·       Commitment to high standards of animal welfare and professional ethics.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications

·       Advanced training, certificate, or postgraduate qualification in equine reproduction or theriogenology.

·       Experience with embryo transfer programs and advanced assisted reproductive technologies.

·       Familiarity with laboratory semen analysis equipment and protocols.
