Mechanical Field Fitter

PHC Group are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Field Fitter to join our team, responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining and repairing conveyor systems on client's sites, both in the Mining and Construction Industries across Newcastle and the Hunter Valley. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside and become part of a great team in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble and install conveyor systems according to specifications

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections and timely repairs

• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain accurate maintenance records

Qualifications:

• Certificate III (Certificate of Proficiency) in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Fitter)

• Additional licences or certificates for Dogging, Rigging, EWP, TRG Hot Work, Working at Heights, Confine Space and WHS Construction card would be an advantage

• The ability to pass a Order 45 Medical essential

Requirements:

• Mechanical troubleshooting skills and knowledge of Conveyor Pulleys, Bearings, Gearboxes and Belt Cleaner experience

• Willingness to travel within Newcastle and the Hunter Valley regions and work onsite as required

• Availability for flexible hours and overtime

• Valid driver's licence and Trade Fitter Certificate

• Proven experience in conveyor systems maintenance preferred, but not essential

• Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with tools

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and work independently and in a team
