About the role
About the role
As a Motor Mechanic, you will be responsible for carrying out mechanical inspections, servicing, repairs and diagnostics across a range of passenger vehicles and light commercial vehicles. You will work closely with our panel and repair team to ensure vehicles are repaired safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities
Carry out vehicle servicing, inspections and general mechanical repairs.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment.
Perform brake, suspension, steering and cooling-system repairs.
Carry out pre-repair and post-repair mechanical inspections.
Assist with vehicle safety checks following accident repairs.
Identify additional mechanical work required and communicate findings clearly.
Work efficiently to meet agreed repair times and deadlines.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop.
Complete job cards and relevant documentation accurately.
Ensure all work is completed to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
About you
Relevant automotive trade qualification – Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
Previous experience as a qualified motor mechanic.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
A sound knowledge of modern vehicle mechanical systems.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
Good communication and organisational skills.
A current Australian driver's licence.
A positive, reliable and professional attitude.
Commitment to workplace health and safety.
