By day, we are a neighbourhood bakery and café – slinging sourdough, laminated pastries, and some of the best coffee in the inner west. We are looking for a Casual Barista who can work around 20-25 hours a week across Friday,Saturday and Sunday. This is not a rushed, turn-and-burn coffee job. You will have time to dial in, to chat, and to take pride in every pour.

You will work alongside our bread team and front-of-house crew, serving coffee that matches the quality of our bake. You will be a morning person, a clean-as-you-go operator, and someone who understands that a flat white can make or break a customer’s day.

• Prepare and serve high-quality espresso-based beverages consistently and efficiently.

• Dial in grinders, maintain equipment, and manage coffee stock levels.

• Work a rotating roster including early starts (from 6:00am), weekends, and public holidays as required.

• Support front-of-house with service, cleaning, and customer engagement during quieter periods.

• Uphold Love Tilly Group’s standards of hospitality – warm, unpretentious, and attentive.

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar specialty coffee environment.

• Strong knowledge of espresso extraction, milk texturing, and basic maintenance.

• Ability to work independently and stay calm under pressure during peak rushes.

• A genuine interest in hospitality – you like people, not just coffee.

• Available for full-time hours on a casual basis (no fixed-term contract, but regular weekly shifts).

• Hourly rate: Casual loading as per Love Tilly Group’s above-Award structure (competitive, based on experience).

• Hours: Consistent full-time hours (approx. 38 per week) with a stable roster.
