About the role
Position: Casual Barista (20-25 hours)
Venue: Fabbrica Breadshop, Rozelle
Location: Sydney, Australia
Love Tilly Group creates curious, considered, uncomplicated hospitality. We are the team behind Fabbrica Breadshop, Palazzo Salato, Ragazzi, Dear Sainte Eloise and other much-loved Sydney venues. We believe in genuine service, exceptional produce, and a workplace that respects its people.
About Fabbrica BreadshopFabbrica Breadshop is our love letter to flour, fire, and fermentation. By day, we are a neighbourhood bakery and café – slinging sourdough, laminated pastries, and some of the best coffee in the inner west. By spirit, we are a home for regulars who know their order and newcomers who leave with a loaf under their arm.
The RoleWe are looking for a Casual Barista who can work around 20-25 hours a week across Friday,Saturday and Sunday. This is not a rushed, turn-and-burn coffee job. You will have time to dial in, to chat, and to take pride in every pour.
You will work alongside our bread team and front-of-house crew, serving coffee that matches the quality of our bake. You will be a morning person, a clean-as-you-go operator, and someone who understands that a flat white can make or break a customer’s day.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and serve high-quality espresso-based beverages consistently and efficiently.
Dial in grinders, maintain equipment, and manage coffee stock levels.
Work a rotating roster including early starts (from 6:00am), weekends, and public holidays as required.
Support front-of-house with service, cleaning, and customer engagement during quieter periods.
Uphold Love Tilly Group’s standards of hospitality – warm, unpretentious, and attentive.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar specialty coffee environment.
Strong knowledge of espresso extraction, milk texturing, and basic maintenance.
Ability to work independently and stay calm under pressure during peak rushes.
A genuine interest in hospitality – you like people, not just coffee.
Available for full-time hours on a casual basis (no fixed-term contract, but regular weekly shifts).
Hourly rate: Casual loading as per Love Tilly Group’s above-Award structure (competitive, based on experience).
Hours: Consistent full-time hours (approx. 38 per week) with a stable roster.
Staff meals: Free bread and coffee on shift, plus discounted meals and wine across Love Tilly Group venues.
Training: Ongoing development – from coffee profiling to broader hospitality skills and leadership development.
Culture: A supportive, uncomplicated team that values curiosity and respect. Employee Assistance Programs available to all staff.
