Senior AI AWS Engineer

$160K–$185K + Super | Melbourne | Hybrid

We’re working with a large enterprise organisation looking for a Senior AI AWS Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team working on a major data migration and AI modernisation program.

This would suit an experienced Data Engineer who wants to move further into AI, while still working on complex data platforms, real-time systems and large-scale engineering problems.

What you’ll be doing

• Build and improve scalable data pipelines and platforms on AWS
• Work on a major enterprise data migration
• Build real-time and event-driven data systems
• Develop data solutions using Databricks
• Work with Generative and Agentic AI using Amazon Bedrock and AgentCore
• Help make technical and architectural decisions across the platform
• Work closely with experienced data, cloud, software and AI engineers

What we’re looking for
You’ll need to come from a strong Data Engineering background and have experience building production systems.

Ideally, you’ll have:

• Strong AWS experience
• Hands-on Databricks
• Data pipelines and ETL/ELT
• Real-time, streaming or event-driven systems
• Python and SQL
• Exposure to Bedrock, AgentCore or similar GenAI technologies
• Experience working in larger, complex environments
