About the role
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Full Time Floating Cook to support our centres across Belconnen, Gungahlin, Holt, Holder, Jamison, Kambah and Strathnairn.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, can work confidently across different kitchen environments, and is passionate about preparing nutritious meals for children.
You will be responsible for supporting daily meal preparation, maintaining food safety standards, and stepping into centres as needed to provide kitchen coverage.
What You’ll Do
What You’ll Need
· A current and valid Driver's Licence (mandatory).
· Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
· Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
· Current Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
· Foundations of Child Safety Training, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
· ACT Government Keeping Children and Young People Safe training, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
· Experience preparing nutritious meals for children, including accommodating dietary requirements, allergies, and food intolerances.
· A genuine passion for nutrition and creating healthy, enjoyable meals for children.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
· A current ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
· Previous experience in an Early Childhood Education and Care or school environment is desirable but not essential.
