About us
We're Buninyong & District Financial Services Ltd, the community company behind Community Bank Buninyong. We run the branch as a for-purpose enterprise under the Bendigo Bank community banking model, which means the profit our branch makes stays here. Over the past 16 years we've returned more than $2.8 million to the Buninyong and Ballarat regions through grants and partnerships. We're Social Traders certified and an award-winning organisation.
About the role
This is a volunteer position on our Board of Directors. As a Director you'll help set our strategy, agree our goals and make the decisions that shape the branch and the projects we back. Every decision starts with local people who care what happens here.
Key responsibilities
Contribute to strategy, business planning and goal setting
Oversee financial performance, risk and compliance
Help direct where community investment support goes
Represent the community company at local events and across the region
Put your professional skills to work on decisions that matter.
About you
You don't need previous Board experience, but you do need to care about this community and bring skills to the table. We're particularly keen to hear from people with a background in:
IT and systems
Accounting and finance
Banking
Business and executive management
Governance
Chairing a Board, or the ambition to Chair
