About the role
Develop your career with Sunshine Coast Health in southeast Queensland which extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.
We're excited to welcome a Peer Worker to our Lived Experience Team.
The Peer Worker provides support in crisis support spaces, inpatient and community settings.
The Sunshine Coast Crisis Support Spaces operate from Nambour General Hospital and Sunshine Coast University Hospital, from 1pm – 9pm, 7 days a week, 365 days per year. The team of peer workers and clinicians work closely together to provide short-term support to people experiencing mental health distress. The service operates as an alternative to the Emergency Department, for people 16 years and over who don't need urgent medical care.
Key Responsibilities:
Remuneration value up to $101 073 p.a., comprising salary between $79,658 - $88,586 p.a. (f/t), or salary rates: $40.17 - $44.67 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO3) (Flexible permanent full time and part time positions available, hours negotiable).
