Duties : 

• Perform all tasks associated with traffic management for works or events

• Use of Stop/Slow Bat to control traffic

• Implement and monitor operational Traffic Management Plans

• Complete vehicle pre-start checks

• Load and unload vehicles with signage and equipment

• Complete site hazard assessments, SWEMS/JSA's and implement control measures to suit the site

• Report on site hazards and near misses

• Monitor traffic behavior and or flow to ensure safety is maintained at all times

• To be able to give clear instructions to junior controllers & lead by example 

• Obey instructions from team leaders, foremen, or inspectors and auditors

• Control traffic, pedestrians and cyclists to protect maintenance workers, work crews and members of the public 

Required : 

• Current Traffic Control Tickets : RIIWHS205D/E - RIIWHS302D/E OR RIISS00059 - RIISS00061 (or above)  TC2/TMI2 & TC3/TMI3  highly advantageous. 

• Construction Induction (White Card)

• First Aid certificate with CPR 

• Hold a valid driver's license & willing to travel

• Own reliable transport

• Physically fit and able to stand for long periods of time.

• Work within a team environment

• Own PPE gear

• Ability to pass a drug & alcohol test

• Flexibility to work both day and night shifts

Pay Rates :

Ordinary Time hourly rates range from $35.55 (for a new entrant into the industry) to $37.99 per hour (experienced candidate).

Above pay rates exclude team leader allowance, travel allowance, long distance travel allowance, and meal allowance.   

Overtime rates range from $49.77 per hour to $83.57 per hour for public holidays.
