About the role
Love Strength Training? Come Coach With Us.
Are you an experienced coach who genuinely loves strength training and takes pride in helping people move well, get stronger and achieve results?
Do you understand great technique, know how to adapt your coaching to the person in front of you, and feel confident taking ownership of your sessions?
If so, we'd love to meet you.
At Soul Bay Strength Training, we're not your typical gym.
We specialise in helping everyday people become stronger, healthier and more confident through progressive strength training in a welcoming community. Our members range from complete beginners through to experienced lifters, with a growing focus on empowering women aged 35–55 to build strength for life.
We're looking for an experienced and qualified Strength Coach and Personal Trainer to join our coaching team and play an important role in delivering an exceptional experience for our members.
About the Role
You'll coach a mix of small group strength classes and one-on-one personal training sessions, working with members across different ages, abilities and training backgrounds.
We're looking for someone who already has a strong coaching foundation and can confidently work independently. You'll need to be comfortable taking ownership of sessions, making appropriate coaching decisions and maintaining a high standard of technique, safety and member experience.
Beyond coaching, there will also be opportunities to contribute to member engagement, retention, consultations and the continued growth of Soul Bay.
This is a part time/casual position with flexible hours across mornings, afternoons and evenings.

What You'll Receive
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who sees coaching as more than simply running a workout.
You understand that great coaching means knowing when to push someone, when to modify, how to communicate an effective cue and how to make every member feel supported and confident in their training.
You'll bring experience and knowledge to the role, but just as importantly, you'll be someone our members trust and enjoy being coached by.
If you're an experienced strength coach looking for a flexible role where you can make a genuine impact and become an important part of a close-knit strength community, we'd love to hear from you.
To apply, please send us your resume and answer a few short questions to help us get to know you, your coaching experience and what you're looking for in your next role. We'd love to hear from you!
