Workshop Controller Foreman | BYD Springwood

Due to continued growth and increasing customer demand, BYD Springwood is seeking an experienced and motivated Workshop Controller / Foreman to join our high-performing Aftersales team.

Reporting directly to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating workshop operations to ensure maximum productivity, efficiency, and quality. You will be the critical link between our technicians, advisors, and management team, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

• Manage and control daily workshop workflow and technician productivity

• Allocate repair orders and monitor workshop capacity

• Ensure repairs are completed right the first time

• Provide technical support and guidance to technicians

• Maintain strong focus on safety, quality, and compliance standards

• Assist with diagnosis of complex vehicle concerns

• Monitor technician efficiency, productivity, and utilisation

• Support the Service Manager in achieving departmental KPIs

• Ensure outstanding customer satisfaction through effective communication and workshop processes

• Assist in mentoring and developing apprentices and technicians

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Previous experience as a Workshop Controller, Foreman, Leading Hand, or Senior Technician

• Strong diagnostic and technical skills

• Proven ability to lead and motivate workshop teams

• Excellent organisational and time management skills

• Strong understanding of dealership workshop operations and KPI management

• Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service

• Current Driver's Licence

• EV experience is advantageous but not essential, with manufacturer training provided
