Great opportunity to work with a growing fit-out and refurb design and build contractor with an excellent culture. Projects will be from smaller to $1m to $10m+ across different sector.
A market leading team with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects, our client is now seeking an experienced Senior/Project Manager to join their growing business.
Offering a range of services to their clients, the company specialises in commercial fit-out and refurbishment with projects across various sectors. Incorporating a wide range of skillsets, they manage their projects from design stage through to handover.
As Senior/Project Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of high quality and on-time construction projects, ensuring that the projects are completed to documented drawings, specifications and nominated timeframes. You will have experience working on projects from design stage though to handover.
With a project portfolio that includes high end fit outs, you will be responsible for overseeing multiples contracts/projects at once. In addition, you will ensure that the high quality and profitability of the projects are maintained while financial and contractual risks are minimised.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Negotiate and let subcontracts against budgetAct as team leader throughout tender process and throughout the delivery of the projectDevelop construction methodologies that win tendersDesign comprehensive project programs and communicate to teamIdentify and manage construction risk through all projects, escalating issues when requiredManage project expenditure and cashflowDevelop a thorough project completion planManage defect identification and rectificationProvide coaching and guidance to project team
Qualifications and Requirements:Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or similarMinimum 7 years’ experience in the successful delivery of projects from start to finish with a fit-out contractor or builderProven leadership ability in building and motivating teamsDetailed knowledge of local council and regulatory requirements / standardsStrong project financial reporting skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsWell-developed interpersonal skillsExperience with Microsoft Office suite
