Vegetation Management Operator / Arborist - Civitus

Civitus is expanding its vegetation management services and is looking for experienced Arborist / Tree Workers / Excavator Operator to join our skilled and growing team.

Civitus delivers professional vegetation management services across Western Australia, supporting Local Government, rail, and State Government clients.

About the Role

Based out of our Belmont depot, you will work across both Perth metropolitan and regional Western Australian areas, delivering vegetation management and fire mitigation works.

This includes roadside clearing, verge and vacant land maintenance, Western Power clearances, and Local Government and Main Roads network vegetation works.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Excavator Mulchers, EWP, Ground Crew, Chiper and Tipper.
• Carry out all associated vegetation works regarding roadside vegetation mulching and clearing.
• Laise with clients and their staff
• Western Power and Shire Tree clearance and maintenance
• Ensure all work is completed to a high-quality standard
• Adhere to workplace health and safety requirements at all times
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Travel to regional locations and work away from home when required (Often )
• Undertake overtime as required

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

Essential

• Excavator (23t Volvo Zero Swing) experience and relevant competency/licence
• Current WA Driver's Licence
• White Card
• Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Licence
• Medium Rigid (MR) Licence
• Australian working rights
• Ability and willingness to work away from home and on your own.
• Physically fit and capable of working outdoors in varying conditions
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
• National Police Clearance (within 3 months)
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work independently

Preferred

• Certificate III in Arboriculture
• Certificate II ESI – Powerline Vegetation Control (Western Power Network)
• Pest Management Technician Licence
• Certificate II or III in Horticulture
• Basic Worksite Traffic Management & Traffic Control ( BWTM & TC) Certificate
• Posi Track experience
• Tractor Slasher experience

Desirable

• Climbing Arborist qualifications
• First Aid Certificate
• Squirrel operating experience
