About the role

Chullora Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in Bankstown, NSW on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to support our experienced pharmacy team in delivering high-quality healthcare services to our local community. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy, assisting with dispensing, customer service, and maintaining our high standards of patient care and safety.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting pharmacists with the preparation and dispensing of medications to customers

• Receiving and processing prescriptions accurately and efficiently

• Managing inventory, stock rotation, and ordering of pharmacy supplies and products

• Maintaining detailed records of dispensed medications in compliance with legal requirements

• Providing friendly and professional customer service, answering queries about over-the-counter products and general health information

• Processing customer payments and managing the till accurately

• Cleaning and maintaining the pharmacy workspace and dispensary areas to the highest standards

• Supporting the pharmacist with administrative tasks including filing, labelling, and packaging

• Adhering to all pharmacy legislation, regulations, and professional standards

• Assisting with minor ailments consultations when appropriate under pharmacist supervision

What we're looking for

• A relevant pharmacy qualification or vocational training in pharmacy assistance

• Strong attention to detail with excellent numeracy and literacy skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine commitment to customer service

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to privacy legislation

• Previous retail or healthcare experience is advantageous

• Reliability, professionalism, and a positive attitude towards continuous learning

Plus having arabic language is an advantage.
