The Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive and motivated Project Officer to help deliver integrated transport planning and land use initiatives that shape the future of mobility across Perth.

As a Project Officer within Strategic Transport Planning, you will play a key role in coordinating and supporting projects that integrate transport and land use planning outcomes. You will work closely with stakeholders, prepare strategic reports and briefings, contribute to policy development, and support the delivery of programs that optimise the transport network for current and future generations. This is an exciting opportunity to influence transport planning outcomes while developing your career in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

The Ideal Candidate

The panel will be assessing applicants against the following suitability requirements:

• Transport Planning Knowledge & Experience: Demonstrates knowledge and experience in integrated transport network planning, including the interpretation and application of relevant transport planning policies and frameworks. 
• Leadership: Understands the strategic objectives of the business area and contributes to the delivery of programs and projects that achieve agreed objectives.  
• Project Management Knowledge & Experience: Undertakes and coordinates project management activities, working to agreed priorities, outcomes and resources, while adapting in response to change. 
• Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Builds, establishes and maintains effective communication and relationships with a variety of individuals by liaising, engaging and preparing high-quality written communications in a purposeful, concise and effective manner. 
• Results Delivery: Clarifies work objectives and takes responsibility for managing the delivery of desired outcomes and transport objectives.
• Flexibility, Adaptability & Positivity: Be positive, flexible and adaptable to meet evolving business needs and takes responsibility for meeting objectives and progressing work.  
• Resilience: Demonstrates the ability to remain positive and productive when managing competing priorities, changing project requirements, and complex stakeholder environments.
• Problem Solving: Applies sound judgement and critical thinking to analyse issues and develop effective solutions to complex problems.
