Construction Manager - Defence

Intract Australia is seeking an experienced Construction Manager – Defence to join our Building & Construction team.
This role is ideal for a confident and grounded construction leader who knows how to bring teams together, manage complex project environments and deliver safely, professionally and to a high standard.
You will lead construction delivery across Defence projects from mobilisation through to commissioning, handover and defects close-out.

What You’ll DoLead construction delivery from mobilisation through to handoverManage site teams, subcontractors, programme and construction methodologyDrive safety, quality, compliance and project performanceCoordinate sequencing, resources, logistics and site operationsSupport tendering, constructability reviews and delivery planningBuild strong relationships with Defence stakeholders, consultants and subcontractorsMentor Site Managers, Engineers and Supervisors
What You’ll BringTertiary qualification in Construction Management, Building or Engineering, or extensive senior site leadership experience10+ years’ construction management experience on major building or infrastructure projectsDefence or government project experience highly regardedExperience delivering projects valued $20M+Strong leadership, planning and stakeholder management skillsAbility to obtain and maintain Defence Security Clearance
