Civil Operator – Excavator / Bobcat / Front End Loader

About the role

Civil X Pty Ltd is a growing Adelaide-based civil construction company specialising in all aspects of earthmoving and civil works. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Operator (Excavator / Bobcat / Front End Loader) to join our team based in Adelaide, SA for an immediate start.

This role will commence as a casual position offering full-time hours (Monday to Friday, day shift), with the opportunity to transition to permanent employment for the right candidate.

As a Machine Civil Operator, you will play a vital role in our construction operations, safely operating a range of heavy machinery to support the successful delivery of civil construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and reliable individual with a passion for the construction industry to contribute to the continued growth and success of Civil X.

What you'll be doing

• Safely and efficiently operate a range of construction equipment and machinery, including excavators, bobcats, skid steers, loaders, and other relevant machinery and tools

• Safely operate a tipper truck to transport and deliver materials and machinery (preferred but not essential).

• Perform pre-start checks, routine maintenance, and minor repairs on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety

• Work collaboratively with the Director to complete tasks in a timely and professional manner

• Adhere to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and guidelines

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our construction processes and procedures

What we're looking for

• Demonstrated experience as a Civil Operator with a strong understanding of operating heavy machinery and equipment

• Current HC or HR driver's licence (preferred but not essential)

• Excavator and/or Skid Steer licence

• White Card (Construction Induction Card)

• Grader experience highly regarded

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Commitment to safety and a proven track record of following safe work practices

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and clients
