Associate Nurse Unit Manager (Radiology)

The Role

An opportunity has become available for an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (Radiology) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

• Apply advanced clinical knowledge, skills, and expertise in Medical Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, and Interventional Radiology
• Contribute to organisational key objectives and performance indicators within Radiology
• Provide clinical and professional leadership through supporting, guiding and directing staff
• Undertake clinical supervision of nurses in consultation with the Nurse Unit Manager
• Commit to ongoing education and assist with delivery of education to nursing staff within Radiology
• Collaboratively lead implementation of policy, practice changes and clinical innovation

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent  
• Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
• Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

• Permanent part time (64 hours per fortnight)
• Base salary ranging from $64.92 - $66.29 per hour

About Us

Radiology delivers a wide range of diagnostic imaging and interventional services across the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS). The service provides a Level 6 Medical Imaging Service at Gold Coast University Hospital (GCUH) and a Level 4 Service at Robina Hospital. The Queensland Health Clinical Services Capability Framework (version 3) describes these services as:

• A Level 6 service (Southport) provides a wide range of imaging services and complex, on-site interventional and neuro-interventional procedures, Nuclear Medicine, Computed Tomography (CT), Ultrasound and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) services on-site.
• A Level 4 service (Robina) provides fixed-room fluoroscopy, on-site CT services, MRI, complex ultrasound, interventional radiology Tier A, and mammography and interventional breast imaging services.
