The role:
 
We’re currently seeking experienced Drill Fitters to join our team on a 2:1 roster, supporting a fleet of Sandvik DPI1500 and DI650 drill rigs across FIFO mining production operations.

This role suits a hands‑on fitter who’s confident working autonomously in remote environments, has strong fault‑finding skills, and takes pride in maintaining safe, reliable equipment.

• Breakdown repairs, preventative maintenance and servicing on Sandvik DPI1500 and DI650 drill rigs
• Completing major and minor repairs in line with OEM standards
• FIFO work across active mine sites and varying conditions
• Managing your own workload while maintaining high safety and quality standards

What we’re looking for:

• Australian-recognised Trade Certificate – Heavy Duty Mechanical or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of Field Service and or Pit Breakdown experience on Drills and earthmoving mining equipment
• Proven experience working in mining or heavy civil environments
• Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding skills
• C Class Manual Driver’s Licence (HR preferred)
• Air Conditioning Licence and High Risk Work Licence (highly regarded)
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
• Ability to pass pre‑employment medical, drug & alcohol screening and National Police Clearance
