The opportunity

This role is suited to a senior technical leader who enjoys being hands‑on with complex design and delivery while mentoring others and working closely with clients. You will lead the technical delivery of transport and civil projects, support project teams, and contribute to building WSP’s capability and reputation across Western Australia.

This is a Senior role, offering technical leadership, influence and autonomy.

Responsibilities

Lead and contribute to the delivery of complex transport and civil infrastructure projects across WAProvide senior technical input, review and verification of civil designs, drawings and reportsAct as a technical authority within your discipline, supporting consistent, high‑quality outcomesChampion Safety in Design, quality systems and best‑practice OHS&E behavioursWork directly with clients to understand project needs and deliver value‑driven solutionsManage scope, programme, cost and risk across multiple projects of varying scaleMentor and develop engineers, supporting capability uplift and knowledge transferCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams locally and nationallyContribute technical input to proposals and pursuits in support of business growth

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or equivalentTypically 10–15 years’ experience in civil and transport engineeringStrong knowledge of Australian Standards, Main Roads WA standards, PTA standards and civil design practicesHigh-level capability in relevant design software (e.g. OpenRoads or 12D)Proven experience leading technical delivery on complex projectsDemonstrated ability to manage technical risk and apply Safety in Design principlesStrong client engagement skills with experience working on WA infrastructure projectsA collaborative mentor who enjoys developing others and strengthening team capability
